This assay is intended for use in the assessment of risk for the development of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in patients with chronic liver disease.

Preparation: In patients receiving therapy with high biotin doses (ie, >5 mg/day), no sample should be taken until at least eight hours after the last biotin administration. Fasting is not required for this blood test. In general, being well hydrated (drinking plenty of water before the blood draw) will help make your veins somewhat easier to locate and access for the blood draw.

The estimate time to receive results is 8 business days to report.

Service Fee:  At check-out we add a Service Fee of $ 28.75 to every order, no matter how many tests are on your order. For instance, if there is one test on your order, the Service Fee is $ 28.75. If there is more than one test on your order, the Service Fee is still $ 28.75. There is no limit to the number of tests you can place on your order, but all tests must be run together at the lab at one time, for one person.

Your Bottom Line Price:   The amount you pay at check-out (lab test(s) cost + one Service Fee) will be the complete price. There are no other charges from us or the lab to complete lab testing service.

Order Eligibility:  You must be 18 years of age, and not a resident of NY, NJ, or RI, where state laws prohibit self-order lab testing.  Only one person can be on each lab order. If ordering for two persons, for instance, you would need to make two orders.

Shelf-life of Lab Orders:  Your lab order will be valid for 6 months.

Refunds:  Refunds are available for 6 months.  The refund amount will be the price you paid for your unused lab form, less the Service Fee.

Time to Process your Order:  During normal East Coast business hours, expect your lab form from us within 2 hours. During evenings, holidays and weekends, expect your lab form within 12 hours. Your lab form is what you will print to take with you to the lab.
